What does it involve?

Horticulture, Agriculture & Estates offers pathways to employment or higher study, such as a distance learning HNC in Horticulture at the University of the Highlands and Islands, supported by practical experience at our Kingsway campus. Our Animal Care courses prepare you for work or further study, like Veterinary Nursing, with opportunities to progress to the second/third year of science degrees at Scottish universities through articulation agreements. Where will it take me? Learn practical techniques alongside the theory behind Horticultural, Agricultural and Landscaping practices, with the opportunity to take part in work-based Modern Apprenticeships. Our Animal Care programmes span all levels, from moving and handling, to health and welfare, you will progress to more technical subjects in nutrition and applied behaviour. You will also have the chance to work alongside keepers in a real zoo in our Zoo Studies work experience unit.
